Our Coldest Journey

Our Coldest Journey will follow the Sir Ranulph Fiennes (now back in the UK) lead expedition across the Antarctic, two Finning engineers and two specially modified Caterpillar D6N track type tractors as they embark on the first ever winter traverse of Antarctica - a challenge that has never been previously attempted.

You can expect to see exclusive blogs and interviews with the Finning Engineers on the expedition team, in depth reports and images of bespoke engineering work carried out on the two Caterpillar D6N track type tractors as we chart the teams progress and experience on their coldest journey.

In addition to carrying out important scientific research that will help determine the effects of global warming, the expedition aims to raise $10m for 'Seeing is Believing' a charity which aims to bring affordable eye care to some of the poorest communities across the globe.

In addition to the regular updates from the team you can submit questions and keep up to date with all the latest news by following us on Twitter at @FinningNews
